Giant are seeking a Junior Pipeline TD/Developer for an upcoming production.

This is a full time position and will be based in our studio in Dublin, Ireland.

The role is based in Dublin, Ireland and applicants should ideally be eligible to work within the EEA.

Description :

Reporting to the Pipeline Supervisor and the CG supervisor, the Junior Pipeline TD will be involved in creating and supporting the workflow tools for a large crew of artists at Giant animation studios on their latest animated Series. Main focus will be on the Maya, Nuke and Substance tools as well as asset / Project management tools such as Shotgun.

Key Responsibilities :

Creating and maintaining new pipeline tools for use by the production artists and TDs at Giant.
Work close with Pipeline and CG supervisors to determine most efficient workflow solutions.
Monitor and resolve pipeline tickets created by production staff.
Diagnosing technical issues, Trouble shooting and optimization of files used by the team when needed.
R&D to improve efficiency of the production process.
Documentation of all relevant work procedures and best practices on Giant’s Propitiatory Wiki system.

Qualifications :

Programming experience, preferably in Python and C++.
Degree in computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of CG software packages such as Maya, Nuke, Substance is a Plus.
Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
Good understanding of relational databases.
Familiarity working on a Microsoft windows infrastructure.
Familiarity with Bash/cshell/Linux a plus
Knowledge of render queuing software a plus
Experience in code-sharing, revision control and Git Hub.
Knowledge of Shotgun or asset management systems a plus
Must be eligible to work in the EU and be willing to relocate to Dublin, Ireland.
